FAQ

Will the M1 handle hills?

Yes. The 80Nm mid-drive works through the gears, so it climbs more strongly than a hub-motor bike, and it's rated for gradients up to 25 degrees at average rider weight.

How far will the M1 go on one charge?

Up to 100km on low assist and even terrain. Expect less with higher assist, hills or heavier loads. The battery comes out so you can charge it indoors, and a full charge takes 2.5–3.5 hours.

How much maintenance does it need?

Very little day to day. The Gates belt needs no oil and is rated for over 30,000km, and the Enviolo hub has no derailleur to knock out of line. Brakes and tyres still need regular checks like any bike.

Can I carry a child on the M1?

Yes. Choose the Cargo Pack Child option when you order.

What size M1 do I need?

Medium suits riders 167–182cm and Large suits 175–210cm. If you're in the overlap, book a test ride at one of our stores and try both. Maximum total weight is 115kg, including rider and luggage.

What's the difference between the M1 and the R1?

The R1 is lighter (21kg) and cheaper, with a 35Nm front hub motor and 3-speed hub, which suits flatter city riding. The M1 has an 80Nm mid-drive and Enviolo stepless gearing for hills and longer distances.

Can I buy it through the bike to work scheme?

Yes. Your employer can contribute up to €1,500 towards an e-bike, repaid from your gross salary over up to 12 months. You pay any balance above €1,500 directly. Get a bike to work quote.
